EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
B.Sc AGRIC (HONS) in Genetics and Animal Science at the University of the Free State - 1971 - 1978
Other courses includes:
- Financial Management for non financial managers at the UP
- A course to become a Professional Business Executive in negotiation skills & labour relationship with the Academy of Advanced Training.
Act as a Judge for different Cattle & Sheep breeds.
Was a farmer for 5 years after studies. Had my own property development company for 5 years. Joined Taurus Coop in 1986.
At present Manager Milk recording & Services as well as Manager Beef.
Since 2001 General Manager of MBISI (Milk Business Information System Inc) This is a non-profit Public Private Partnership coordinating the Dairy improvement scheme in South Africa.
Also rendering the same service for some SADC countries.
At present play a big role in the training of veterinarians, farmers and consultants to interpret the milk recording reports in order to improve herd management.
