Dr Chris van Dijk
Chris qualified as a veterinarian in 1982
- He practised for 17 years as a veterinarian in a mixed practice in Bethal (Mpumalanga)
- He has a masters degree in Bovine Herd Health and is registered as a veterinary specialist with the SA Veterinary Council
- His thesis was on: The effects of anionic salts in the dry period on peripartal diseases, production and reproduction in a high producing Holstein herd
- He joined Pfizer Animal Health at the beginning of 2000 as a Technical Veterinarian
- He currently holds the position: Director – Veterinary Services and Regulatory Affairs
- He writes articles in the Dairy Mail and his voice is frequently heard on the agricultural programme on RSG
