Hi Ladies, We have put together two very interesting tours for you on the Monday and Tuesday of the conference. Wear comfortable shoes, take along a warm jacket and don't forget your cameras and wallets.

Monday, 6 June - East London day tour

Meet in the hotel foyer at 08:45 to leave at 09:00 Start with whale-watching trip This will includess visits to East London Museum (coelacanth & dodo egg), township drive-through, monuments, Nahoon Footprints (127 000 yrs old). Light lunch. This will be followed by a shopping stop at Hemingway’s Mall & Casino Complex (biggest mall in Eastern Cape Province) Cost is R600 per person Return to the hotel at 16:40 for some relaxation and plenty of time to freshen up for the Happy Hour in the Ocean Terrace Room

Tuesday, 7 June - Trip to the Mpongo Private Reserve

Meet in the foyer of the hotel at 08:45 to leave at 09:00. ~ Today you will visit the Mpongo Private Game Reserve where you will see the most magnificent African lion I have ever seen as well as some white lions and a Zimbabwe lion. The game drive will be in open vehicles with a picnic stop for light refreshments at a lapa situated in the very heart of the park. You will be able to view a wide variety of wildlife including Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino, Hyena, Hippo and Giraffe amongst other grassland antelope and many bird species in the most beautiful surroundings. ~ A light lunch will be served at the Huberta Restaurant, which is set in a raised position around a waterhole. Enjoy your lunch while watching the Hippos through large open windows as they linger by the water. The hippos will also be fed during this time. ~ Another feature which I personally enjoyed, was the ‘petting area’ where you will be able to get ‘up close and personal’ with a variety of wild animals. ~ You will leave at 16:00 to return to the hotel in time to have a rest and freshen up for the Happy Hour in the Ocean Terrace room at 18:00. ~ The cost of this tour will be R530 per person which is all inclusive.
